Why we love superheroes
The reason why we love superheroes so much is based on 3 types of experiences that we can relate to. The first is trauma (Batman's origin story with murdered parents); second is destiny (Buffy the Vampire Slayer normal teen who discover that she is chosen one to fight demons); and the last one is heroism (Spider-Man's example of how random events cause many of us to take stock of our lives and choose a different path).
