The first South Park episode was made by two students
The first South Park episode was made in 1992 by two students as a stop-motion video using paper, glue and 8mm film camera. In 1995 FoxLab executive Brian Graden after seeing the video, hired them to make a video christmas card that he sent to 80 people. The video caught their attention, leading to negotiations with Comedy Central to produce a half-hour series based on the short.
